Our legs and glutes are an essential part of everyday activities such as walking, running, sitting, standing, going up stairs, etc, etc, etc. Working these muscle groups is very important to a healthy and strong body. A few benefits of strengthening our legs and glutes are 1)Improved athletic performance: running faster, jumping higher, etc; 2)Injury prevention: strong glutes can help prevent knee pain, low back pain and various leg injuries; and 3)Helps support healthy movement for everyday life, making daily motion and even cardio exercises easier. Each day in the challenge will consist of 3 exercises that focus on multiple areas of the lower body. We will complete exercises that work the hamstring (muscles in the back of the thighs), glutes (muscles in the buttocks), quadriceps (muscles in the front of the thighs), muscles in the inner and outer thighs and the calves (muscles in the lower part of the leg). After 4 days of exercise, we will rest/recover & stretch on Day 5. This will be the patter throughout the 21 Day Challenge. A support chat will be used to encourage one another. You've Got It!
